Here are some updated pics of my birds 2 days shy of 8 weeks old. I have to say, of all the breeds my family kept over the years, the temperament of Orpingtons is hard to beat. The pullet wants to be held every day, and the cockerel tolerates it haha!

Everyone got to free range for a little bit this evening. I figured, first full day outside for the nuggets (finally warm enough & not raining) might as well be first day of free ranging together. The males were the most interested in the chicks, with Memnoch trying to get feisty & then running off when he saw me standing next to the chicks. Epiphany (the chick with the white face) rushed Damien (the peacock) & that was pretty hilarious. Guess we know who the top of the pecking order for the nuggets is. Odysseus walked around & through the chicks but didn't really care either way. Damien is my nosiest by far & kept walking around them to try to figure out what they were.
