Who is laying which egg?

I have 9 ducks that started laying last month. Well, seven of them are laying, the other two are drakes. 5 Rouen hens, one Pekin and one crested. I am getting 4-5 eggs most every day, with roughly one day each week only getting one egg.

The eggs I get are confusing me due to the colors I am getting. I usually get a couple of cream colored eggs, then one large white egg and a huge green one.

I have no idea who is responsible for which eggs, tho I believe the cream colored ones are from the Rouens as I am getting more than one every day.

I find it hard to believe that the crested hen, who is smaller than all the others, could pass the monstrous green egg every day without her guts falling out. That would leave the Pekin, but she is supposed to lay white.

Any of you smart people able to figure this out for me?

Here's a picture of today's bounty :

My chocolate Runner Rosa barely weighs 2 lbs.  She is a runt.  She lays one huge green egg every day, and has for a few months.  She is amazing!  She is 1/3 the size of my other females, and her eggs are sometimes bigger than theirs.  I know they are hers - because I have seen her poop one out :)  With the light change, she has been laying her egg sometimes after I let them out in the morning.  She has a favorite nest under our brusselsprouts she likes to lay an egg and sit on it a while.  Here is a table that shows what colors of eggs certain breeds can be expected to lay -

Breed Temperament Weight (1) Egg Prod. (2) Mothering Bluish Eggs Egg Size (3) Fertility (4)
Black Swedish Calm 5 - 6.25 # 130 - 180 /yr. Fair 20 % 80 - 90 grams 85 %
Black Runner Nervous 3.25 - 4 # 100 - 180 /yr. Poor - Fair 70 % 65 - 80 grams 84 %
Blue Runner Nervous 3.25 - 4 # 100 - 180 /yr. Poor - Fair 70 % 65 - 80 grams 84 %
Blue Swedish Calm 5 - 6.25 # 120 - 180 /yr. Fair Less Than 5 % 80 - 95 grams 85 %
Buff Calm 5 - 6.25 # 130 - 180 /yr. Fair 20 % 80 - 90 grams 85 %
Cayuga Calm 4.75 - 6 # 130 - 180 /yr. Fair Less Than 2 % 75 - 90 grams 83 %
Chocolate Runner Nervous 3.25 - 4 # 100 - 180 /yr. Poor - Fair 75 % 65 - 80 grams 86 %
Fawn and White Runner Nervous 3.25 - 4 # 100 - 180 /yr. Poor - Fair 35 % 65 - 80 grams 86 %
Jumbo Pekin Very Calm 9 - 13.5 # 140 - 175 /yr. Poor Less Than 2 % 90 - 100 grams 85 %
Golden 300 Hybrid Layer Calm 4.5 - 5.75 # 200 - 290 /yr. Fair 5 % 75 - 90 grams 93 %
Grimaud Hybrid Pekin Calm 8 - 12.25 # 150 - 200 /yr. Poor Less Than 2 % 90 - 100 grams 89 %
Khaki Campbell Nervous 3.5 - 4.5 # 165 - 210 /yr. Good Less Than 5 % 75 - 85 grams 87 %
Mallard Calm 2.25 - 2.5 # 60 -120 /yr. Very Good 70 % 65 - 75 grams 90 %
Pekin Calm 7 - 13.5 # 140 - 220 /yr. Poor Less Than 2 % 90 - 100 grams 89 %
Rouen Calm 5 - 7.25 # 140 - 180 /yr. Good 35 % 80 - 95 grams 87 %
Welsh Harlequin Very Calm 4.5 - 5.5 # 150 - 200 /yr. Good Less Than 2 % 75 -85 grams 75 %
White Crested Nervous 6 - 7.25 # 100 - 130 /yr. Poor - Fair Less Than 2 % 80 - 90 grams 83 %
White Layer Calm 4.5 - 5.75 # 200 - 290 /yr. Fair 1-2 % 75 - 90 grams 93 %

Going off this chart, there is a less than 2% chance the egg is coming from your pekin or your crested - so it's from one of your rouens.  Tonight, after you put them to bed, dab a different color of food coloring on each of their vents. When they lay their egg in the morning, it will be streaked with their color of food coloring - then you know for sure who is laying what.

Looks alot like the eggs I have been getting.  My fourth hen started laying yesterday!  White eggs, just as I expected.  Larger, good looking eggs.

So, two days in a row I have got two white and two green/blue.  Happy in WI!

Have you ever had any of your girls lay twice in one day, and if so, where?  Mine are laying in nest box overnight in coop. all 4 are sharing one nest (there are two avail.).

About once a week someone lays an extra egg.  It is usually with the rest - but sometimes I'll find an egg on the lawn.
