The serama chick hatched too-six healthy chicks. The hens (two chicks each) have joined together to make one happy family.
Oh congratulations!!! Would love some pics
I tested it at the beginning and both machine and my thermo/hygrometer read the same so didn't think too much about it- I have just ordered 2 better quality ones to be sure as I'm getting more eggs this week so fingers crossed!!!
I have to confess- I was greedy and had more eggs than I should have so I did put more eggs than recommended, I monitored closely and thought they were rolling fine but later in realised that not all were rolling enough so that could be another reason.
I'm going to set 3 different breeds and sourced eggs to make sure it's not the eggs from the breeder that I've been using (I'm sure it's not but just to eliminate the possibility) also have a hen that's just gone broody so might even give her some (if my husband agrees) and compare her results with mine.
Hopefully 3rd time lucky 🙏🙏🙏🐣
