I am in lock down on day 18 and my humidity jumped up to 75-80% thismorning. Is that to high and how do I drop it without opening the bator???? My temp,it 102. I'm using a still air.
help!!!

I'd be perfectly fine with the humidity that high, as long as my air cells were a good size. If you don't have any external pips yet, you could open it to take some water out if you wanted to. Do you have your vent plugs out???
I intentionall go into lockdown/hatch at 75% (I'm a meddler) and often once hatch starts I see it range between 80-90% As long as you don't have condensation dripping inside your bator and covering your windows, I wouldn't worry. If you are really uncomfortable with it at that range crack the bator open and let it lower a bit. The theory of opening the bator deals with having eggs pipped. If you don't have eggs pipped there is no danger and even if you have eggs pipped, the danger is a lot lower than people would have you think unless you are running with real low humidity to begin with or have real cold air hitting the exposed membrane when you open.

I do have some pips. I will just leave it since all seems good, I think. Is it normal for them to show some blood when pipping? This Lil guy has not stopped since starting. Looks like he is starting to zip.
Did he pip the wrong end? You don't usually see blood at the pip unless they've pipped outside the air cell. The blood shows up when they hit a vein.
I will say though, if you are only on day 18 (standard chicken eggs) and seeing pips already -that points to the average temp as being a tad high during the incubation. You may want to calibrate your thermometers before your next hatch.

Ya they are early. It started at the right end but at the hole got bigger there is a lil blood.
Sounds like he is moving faster than the vascular system is shutting down. Hope he slows down. I had one next to last hatch that decide to bust out the top of the egg within hours of making the pip. Had a ruptured unabsorbed yolk and still functional egg to chick vascular system. Needless to say, he didn't make it. He just wasn't ready to hatch. What possessed him to hatch before he was ready will always be a question in my mind.

That doesn't look too bad, but it looks like he is going the wrong way. I'd keep an eye on that one. He might be positioned wrong. He should be going around not down.
