I have two six week old Ayam Cemani chickens. On OCT 8th, one started showing excrement with a red tint. This chicken is eating and drinking properly and does not show any outward signs of distress other than a little chirping. I have added green tea, cinnamon, Echinacea and Dichotomous Earth to their feed of organic non-med starter and apple cider vinegar has been added to the water at a rather high rate. I have ordered Kocci Free and it will be delivered on OCT 12th. The bedding is pine and is changed regularly but they have been regularly exposed to soil. The temperature is 80 during the day and 70 at night.

My question is if this is Cocci or not? I have seen the "poop page" and it doesn't tell me much. By the looks of it, it seems normal but I'm becoming increasingly worried. If it is, how much time do I have and what are my odds of survival with current treatments?

I also have some of the ingredients of Kocci Free as well, such as clove, clove oil, oregano, and mustard seed, and was thinking of adding it to the feed until the 12th when I receive it.

It appears as though the "red" in the poop is too pink colored to be blood. Outward signs of coccidiosis in chickens include droopiness and listlessness, loss of appetite, loss of yellow color in shanks, pale combs and wattles, ruffled, unthrifty feathers, huddling or acting chilled, blood or mucus in the feces, diarrhea, dehydration, and even death. Other signs include poor feed digestion, poor weight gain, and poor feed efficiency. If the chicken is still acting normally I wouldn't worry much about it.

But if you are so inclined you can use a coccidiostat in the water just to eliminate that possibility.
