Are any of my d'uccle's show quality? They are not hatchery birds. PT tested flock.

How young are these birds? I'm asking because that features on younger birds change with age and the quality now might be different in the future and it might change some of these opinions. Such as your males coloring it needs more white in it. It would also help if the beard and muffs filled out a little more because at the moment it's a little hard to tell he has them.

Your white looks really good. I would watch that tail of hers it has a great spread to it but watch how high she carries it. Booted Bantams/Belgian Bearded d'uccle have a tail spread of seventy-five degrees for male and seventy for female. If it's ninety or above it's considered squirrel tail.

The two birds in second picture look pretty young but I could be wrong. The one on the left has the same problem as the male that she has lots of black but not a lot of white. The one on the right plain just needs more black and white in her mille fleur pattern. If they're young they might have more room to grow but not that much.

Also watch for disqualifications. Absence of vulture hocks, shanks not feathered down the outer sides, outer toes not feathered are all DQ's of this breed.

If you want you can go to your local shows coming up, show your birds and see what judges have to say about them. So that way you know how to improve quality. Good luck!
