Newly hatched Quail has leg problems :(

Hi everyone. This little guy hatched 2 days ago, he was FINE 100% but last night he had fallen down the side of a sock I have under an ecoglow heater and couldn't get back up. I found him 'flat' kind of, he's in good spirits and doesn't feel weak, just his legs wont move front so he can stand.

How can I help him? I have one with splayed legs and I used a band aid to help her, maybe a similar contraption?

 
Please, has anyone seen this before? I cant find anything on google, only of ones that hatched this way, and this one did not hatch this way.
 
Sorry that no one has responded. I know nothing about quail, just chickens. Have you also posted on the quail forum? Quail can get a disease called avian encephalomyelitis, a virus found in other poultry, that can cause lameness and lying on the side is one of the symptoms. It also causes tremors, especially when the chick is held in the palm of your hand on it's back. My only other suggestion is possibly dehydration or a vitamin deficiency, so I would give vitamins and electrolytes and get it to drink as often as you can. Here is some to read about AE:

Thank you so much for posting, I'm going out of my mind with worry. :( He is showing no symptoms of that disease thank goodness, just laying on his side. He's very alert, eating and drinking fine with assistance from me. No tremors at all, acting like a normal chick apart from the no legs part. I've had an electrolyte in their water from day one, they hatched 2 days early which I think is the cause of this little fellas problem. I've just seen others come up with devices and things to hold the legs correctly like in Splayed legs, I thought maybe someone had come up with another contraption to fix this, but it seams like this is something rare? I'll post on the quail thread.
 
You try try making a chick chair for him to sit upright. Here are some photos:

Thank you so much for helping. I just couldn't think of an idea to help him until your photos. I used an old plastic vitamin container and cut a hole in the bottom, then cut it in half, tucked an old sock over it and added tiny leg holes. He's so happy to eat and drink when he wants. You have no idea how grateful I am for the ideas. You helped save him.
