Where should I house my guineas?

I have 6 6-week old keets. I have a huge barn that is open on one side with lots of tall rafters to roost on, but being open, I am not sure they are protected enough. I have an empty chicken coop I plan on adding 8 chickens into next spring. I am not sure if i put the guineas in the coop, if they will accept the chickens when they arrive. What do you think I should do? Leave them in the barn or move them to the more secure coop and hope for the best when the chickens arrive.

They have to be protected from predators, so an open barn, even with high rafters, might be an invitation for a free meal. I would coop them and figure out the chickens later.

Thanks for the reply. It sure helps to talk to someone who has experience! Appreciate it much!
