I have an emergency - please help

my second time but the first time was4 yrs.ago and i didnt pay them so much attention weird cuz they never got sick all grew up and i gave them away.and now me and my husband are loving these babies so much and my kids too.

Thanks for responding. I do the same thing and have had great luck with my first batch of chicks. But apparently the people I got them from doesn't do that and when I called them to tell them about the problem they told me they hadn't noticed a problem...not sure how you don't notice pure liquid blood. I started them on Corid as well as my other chicks as a precaution. Now I just have my fingers crossed it works and they are ok. I am a little confused though...some posts say to give them electrolytes while they are on Corid and some say don't. Very confusing. Also confusing when you go to your feed store and they say to put them on a broad spectrum antibiotic and everyone on this site says that won't work...I'm going with everyone here.
at tractor supply here they have single packets of vitamins for there water I use those and I use the apple cider vinegar other than the medicated feed that's all I have ever given mine, I hope they do good, usually when I do buy a sick chick that doesn't make it its usually with in the first 2-3 days that they pass (it happens very fast) so if they still eating and pooping, u doing something right, just keep them warm and keep doing what u are. Good luck

Corid is not harmful to them if they don't have cocci. But I would probably get a packet to have on hand. You could always return it.
Eggcessive - thank you for your help. I started all of my flock on the Corid last night. All the chicks are eating drinking and active and there hasn't been any bloody droppings today - just loose. My other hens just started laying last week and this week on a regular basis. Today I didn't get any eggs but my one girl kept going into the box like she was going to lay ... But nothing. Could this be from the medication?

I am so happy to heat that your chicks are doing better! I hope they continue to mend!

Has the hen started laying yet? Or did she molt?

She had been laying for about a week (all three had been) but since the one dose of broad spectrum antibiotics and now the Corid she along with the others, have stopped laying - all except her she is laying sometimes but shellless eggs. It all seems very coincidental to the medication treatments. Because it happened as soon as treatment started. Is this normal? They all had already molted a bit - they are 6 months old. So confused and worried - banks chicks are doing better but now my hens are having problems - ugh!!!!
