Please help! Backward legs. :( :( :(

Noticing where you are from, ask around for vets that will give discounts or are not too expensive. I'm lucky here as there is a great avian vet that is super cheap and knows what he is doing. Of course it's a long wait to get in to see him but for the price and expertise it's worth it.

Unfortunately the only avian vet close to me is 3-4 hours away, Would be a long wait to get to him because as you can understand he's very sort after. :( My only choice is a pet vet.

Called vet, they said it will cost $150 for a xray, and they are not sure they can put it under because it's so tiny. But I'm going tomorrow to see the vet to see if they have any ideas.

Ask if they or someone they know can use gas to put it under. It's better than injectables and they come out from being under very quickly. I've had it used for a tiny budgie with no problem.

I'm glad you've started looking for help :)

It's best to first find out what the problem actually is. If the legs are broken, dislocated or unfortunately deformed. Then treatment should be a breeze.

Let us know how everything goes soon !

Hey guys, just a update. Went to the vet, he said there was nothing he could do unless I did surgery. His tendons never formed properly and they are like that forever. He is doing well though. He's been upgraded out of his baby chair today and is now in his big boy chair after a nice bath. :)

Wow, you've taken such special care of him... I'm glad he's in good hands.

Are you planning on doing this all for him until he reaches adult hood and out lives his precious life or are you going to give him away when you can't care for him any longer? What are your plans for him?
