I NEED HELP ASAP

If it's high enough so that if you put your hand at the bottom of the box and your hand doesn't get really hot. you might be OK.. or if you can have the heating lamp facing the side of the box or something without catching anything on fire that would work.  It just can't be directly on him until he's up and about..

So, it's like this. There is a spot in the corner across from the stuffed animals that is warm but doesn't have the light aiming directly at it

LOOKS LIKE A GUINEA PIG CAGE, LOL that's perfect, that's exactly what I use. Ok, if you take the heating lamp and instead of in the front of the cage like you have it, put it so that it's on the side of the cage, So it will be facing the stuffed animal, this way you can adjust it up or down and not hitting inside the cage at all.. but it will keep the length of the cage warm, NOW the only other issue is all that flooring, since he can't walk yet, some of that will get stuck on him as well has on his belly button, may cause more problems then what you have now.

The flooring is the only thing I would worry about now because remember his a sticky baby and if he still has gooy stuff on him, it's just going to dry up and stick right to him. Perhaps you can put a towel over it for now until he's up.

I just looked in the bator to check on him and he's scooted away from his egg and broke his umbilical cord off.. Is that bad? His eyes are open again and he's drying off in the bator. And he's chirping and yawning still. He looks fine to me but I don't know if it's good that he broke off his umbilical cord...

That's Perfect, if he's not bleeding he's doing GREAT. Guess he didn't want to carry that luggage around. LOL By tomorrow he should be UP and walking around, perhaps we should just leave him in the bator. maybe placing a towel over the bator will help warm it up quicker

Okay! Well he's not bleeding and he looks great to me. I'm gonna leave him in there overnight and hopefully he'll be up and walking by the morning. I better head to bed. It's almost 11 o'clock and I gotta be up at 5 to get ready for school :( I'll send pictures first thing in the morning and have an update on how he's doing

can you see him and does he look like he's shaking at all, you know like he's cold? If not, I would just leave him in there.

Did you say you had a fan or no fan in the bator?? If you have a fan, temp should be about 99-100 if you don't have a fan then it should be at 101-102

SOUNDS good, youll see a different duck by tomorrow.  GOOD JOB ON SAVING THE LITTLE GUY>....

THANK YOU that was probably one of the most stressful things I've ever done but I'm so happy I saved him. He doesn't look cold. And no, my incubator doesn't have a fan. I turned the temp up to 101 though. I don't want it to get too hot as my bators temp is always all messed up so I'm just gonna leave it at 101. I can't wait to see him tomorrow! Goodnight and thank you for all your help. I really appreciate it
