Cheap and easy extra temporary waterers and feeders

Hi! Here are my four adult hens and my four pullets and one cockerel. Also, here you can see how I turn empty milk gallon containers into extra water and feed containers for my chickens. Since my older hens and young ones have separate living spaces for now, I needed more water containers and feeders, temporarily. I put a rock in the feeders so they don't knock them over. Every time I have another empty milk container, I improve on my design a little, with the size, shape, and height of the hole I cut. You could also tie the jug to something by its handle, so it can't fall over. It works out pretty well!

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :) That's a neat feeder.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

ooh.......i may try this myself. I'm trying to find a cheap, easy DIY feeder that they can't dig the feed out of.
