Help, egg bound Silkie chicken

Just got back yesterday from a long weekend vacation and checked on the girls last night, all was good and they were fine.  This morning I went out to let them out and give some treats and noticed my favorite one had her vent out and an egg stuck hanging outside of body.  She is just 21 weeks old and her first egg. It was already hard, so I soaked her in a warm bath and cleaned her up tried finding the hole in the membrane but couldn't so thought maybe to break the egg but ended but tearing the membrane.  Got the egg out, another warm bath in clean water, put some PH med on her and gently pushed back in. Most has stayed in but some is still hanging out. It has been about 3 hours since it all happened, I have put her in a crate away from the other so they do not mess with her, is there anything else that I can do?

I'm no expert, but I would say try to keep her as stress-free as possible, because having your first egg stuck is very stressful to the chicken. I would say keep her well fed with plenty of water, and keep her in a nice dark space for a while (keep her calm) until you see she is back to her usual self.

What did you say about pushing back in?

Well anyways, congrats on her first egg and great job on getting that egg out.
