I am new to chickens, I just started my flock a few weeks ago and am learning as I go. I have 13 chicks and one of them I noticed last week hobbles around strangely. This particular chick hit a growth spurt and suddenly doubled in size much quicker than the others. That's about the time that I noticed the leg issue. I would hope I didn't completely miss it from the start.
Anyhow, the chicks hocks seem to be turned inward causing it to have its feet turned outward. It seems otherwise healthy, eats drinks and hobbles around. Because of its size and appearance compared to the others I purchased at the same time I'm pretty sure its a cockerel.
I have a band around his legs and that seems to give support but the legs are just twisted the wrong direction.
