I used oxytet for a while and it did not seem to do anything for mine. i guess it depends on what you have, and we may all have something different. but when I tried the tylan on my sickest hen, she was much better within 24 hours. It worked for me but may not work for you. I did not have any foul smelling mucus, so we may not be dealing with the same thing. I have not had any testing done, so I have no idea what we have sadly. I really do hope that you find something that works for you, because I know how discouraging and depressing it can be to not know what to do to help your birds feel better. Are you also giving them electrolytes? I found that made a lot of difference for my birds too. I really hope you get them to feeling better

hugs from across the miles, I know how frustrating all this can be!!

How well one drug works will depend on the bacteria. Here are lab reports from a bird with a respiratory infection. Note that any drug with the word resistant will not work. Both these reports are for the same bird.
