Have we hit the "No Lay Zone" in Arkansas?

It's been two days since I've had an egg.  My birds are 100% free range so it's possible they changed their nest on me but I think it is probably more likely that they're done for the season? Am I wrong?  It's staying pretty hot during the day here (Northwest Arkansas) but the days are getting shorter. Should I be hunting for a new nest or wait it out until spring? This is my first season with layers.

How old are the birds in question?

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?

What breed (s) are they? In my experience the first laying cycle is the least likely to be impacted by winter, it is the subsequent ones that follow this pesky molt where you tend to see a big drop. Pullets of most production breeds/lines will lay through that first winter. An easy check would be to confine them for a couple of days to see if you get eggs. If not, I would start assessing other likely causes for production drop
