Hi everybody!
I have been using this site for all the useful info for the last 6 months or so for my rescue hens and have now acquired two mascovy Ducks, so now I'm reading up on them too :)

Thank you :)
I've only had my ladies since April this year, they were exbats which had been rescued by a lady who saves many thousands of them from being processed each year.

They came to me quite stressed and featherless which was quite confronting for me, but after a few days they settled into the coop I built for them and after a few weeks their new feathers started to appear. I fed them lots of bone broth and minced meat for their high protein requirements in this time and as it was getting cooler I made some jumpers for them and made them a warm porridge of a night time. I copped a lot of teasing from my friends and family for spoiling them so much, but my thinking was that they would have already been through so much at the battery farm that they really did deserve some loving :)

Your girls certainly have filled out and look much better than the day you got them. Cute idea on the jumper. Good job!
