Weve been at the ranch this weekend and i threw out another bait to my fiance about getting some chickens... this time she said well lets go buy some!!... in shock that she agreed we i called up a local well managed licensed certified and all breeder and we picked up some female americanas/easter eggers... they are 11 days old.. gotta grow em out for a while still.. but we figured it cant be hard since we used to raise and breed quail..

These chicks wont take up much space for now, but ill have to get to building our chicken coop now! (Finally)

Im trying to locate barred rock and silkie chickens now.... then we'll have our 3 breeds we want to start out with... then once we get settled some guineas...

We are gonna be thise people with the backyard rabbit caged chickens for a little while though lol. Our house wont be finished being built until after january 1st... so i may just need to do a tractor type deal right now for temp when these get big enough...

I'm so happy for you! There are lots of easy and inexpensive designs for a temporary and or portable coop in the coop and run forum. Congratulations! I look forward to progress reports and pictures!
