Roosters in jackson nj

Hello everyone, i am new to the whole chicken thing. Im from :)Jackson, NJ. Right now i have 5 hens, all around 10 weeks old. They are doing great and cant wait to get more chicks in the spring. My question is, is it legal to have a rooster in a residential area of Jackson, NJ. Im thinking of getting just one ti watch over my flock but dont want it to be a problem. The zoning laws i have been able to find are very confusing to me. And what if u get a bantam rooster, are they not as loud since they are smaller? Thanks in advance!
