Hi, we had a cat massacre a couple of weeks ago-we lost a bunch of our little ones-but several hours later I found a little survivor (aka Lucky) She had a small wound under one wing, and her feathers/fluff were a mess. Medicated her wound, and after about a day of TLC she joined the rest of the crew. I did have to bath her because she got pasty butt, I'm guessing from the stress. Anyway, everyone else has feathers coming in and are working on flying, but she is still all downy, and is frustrated because her wings don't work right-the feathers that she has left are sort of stuck together. Any tips?

You could wipe her wings with a damp cloth to loosen up the feathers. Other than that, all she needs is time. Even if you left her wings the way they are, those feathers are going to shed soon when she goes through the rest of her juvenile molts on her way to becoming a big chicken.

I'd just keep her warm, fed and pasty butt free.
