At 2 months, with combs like that, you have 3 cockerels. They mostly look like Production Reds, although there is something rather Red Ranger-y about them. Are they particularly stocky?
Oh boy. I might be off on the age. Maybe close to 3 months. They are kinda stalk but I don't have much to compare to. They all have fat fat legs and feet.
Hmm. Thick legs is also a big indicator of cockerels, but the thick legs AND thickness of the body makes me think Red Ranger. Where did you get them? Anyhow, you will know when they're grown. If they lank out and grow to 7 or 8 pounds, that's a Production Red. If they start lumbering around and get to 12 or 13 pounds... now that's a Red Ranger.
You are so right. We thought rir.....but they are definitely red ranger. We got them at a local feed store. And it's a feed store that doesn't sex them so we have no clue. We sure do love them though.
They will get huge if they are Rangers, but with those combs... sorry, not a lot of hope for hens. If they really are around 12 weeks, you can take pictures of their saddle and wing bow feathers and post them. They should have started growing any cockerel feathers by now.
