When I bought these chooks I was told they are Marans, there are wheaten marines and Longhorn marans thats what I was told when i bought them. I can identify via web images I have wheaten marines but the others I can find web photos for them to identify them as longhorn maran.

I have not heard of a longhorn Maran - could you have misunderstood the name?  There are black copper, birchen, cuckoo, golden cuckoo, black, black-tailed buff, white, golden salmon, and columbian.   Try here to identify your varieties -

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
