We are suppose to get a great amount of rain in the next 3 days here in Tx possibility flooding rain . There coop is well protected and the run is half covered should I put there food and water under the protection area of the run or in the coop ? I don't know if chickens come out in protective areas of there run during heavy rain . I feel the water and food feeder will be to big in the coop

I live in southeast Alaska, and it rains constantly! My run is covered but still had water running through it but the chickens dont seem to mind. They go inside the coop if its to wet. Keep the feed dry or it will get moldy and may make them sick.

They should have access to food during the day, food can get wet so long as it is eaten soon. Wet/damp food will spoil.

My flock will venture out in the rain, they will stay in the coop if its raining hard or cold and rainy.
