I've never started a hatchalong before but every one is welcome to join me =} ill be posting set dates as soon as i calculate them lol. But any sets due in November qre welcome along for the ride =]

I started collecting eggs Sunday for the incubator. This will be my first time doing this. I am hoping to set them in the incubator this Sunday (10/25/15) which means a mid-November hatch.

The hens I am collecting from are all RIR's except for one Chocolate Orphington. I get about 4 eggs a day from these, so hoping to set just a little under 30 eggs.

I have 15 set to hatch November 4thish. EE's, BO, WLH all covered by blue or splash bantam Cochin. Can't wait to see what my little babies look like:) I candled this morning and all are doing well. They have great veining and wiggly jiggly babes in them.

Hi, this is my first time hatching eggs. I have 12 Pekin Bantam eggs due to hatch on the 4th Nov. I candled them last night (day 6) and 3 look unfertilized and one with a blood ring. The other 8 we could see the dark spot moving around. Very exciting!

The best part of hatching eggs is that feeling. Be it the first time or the 100th ;) best of luck on those little swimmers. Pekin bantams? Must be ducks?

Edited to add.
If they are duck eggs are you misting them with water daily?
