Or the mites

If it's fowl pox, it has to run it's course, since it's a virus. I don't know about those mites. I know that for leg mites, you suffocate them with Vaseline. Maybe that would work for the comb.

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Sounds like she isn't feeling well. How old is she? If she is a younger bird, Coccidiosis is possible...as chicks and young pullets have not yet developed immunity.

If she is an older hen, she could be egg bound. You will need to do an exam through the vent to feel for a stuck egg.

If she is an older bird and has not been wormed recently, she could have an over load of worms which will kill her. Mites on her exterior body can drain them as well.

You might also post this in our emergency section for more help from the members that frequent the health section of our forums. Here is a link to starting a new thread there... http://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/threads/add/forumId/10

Good luck with your girl and I hope she makes a full recovery! :-)
