When it was just my gander and my Muscovy's he was wonderful with the little ones but once he got a mate and then the 2 goslings [who have grown up with attitude] no way can they be around ducklings or chicks.

Best thing is getting mama situated before so you don't have to worry about anything. I learned to set mine up in their own lil safe house with plastic poultry fencing around it so mama and duckling have their own space for at least 3 weeks everyone can see them and no one gets hurt.

Probably would be best to wait till ducklings have hatched and get them moved right away, mama won't abandon her ducklings. Just don't let geese have access while hatch is going on. Might be a good idea to put geese out of the way till she can move mama and ducklings. My gander was such a good papa goose when we had ducklings that all changed when I added other geese, I wouldn't put it past them to kill ducklings or chicks that is why mine cannot be around them.
