The land down under.
Hello everybody!

I'm new here and I would like to share the story of why I'm new here.

I live in a crowded big city however I own a big house with a backyard. My boyfriend works at a nearby town, smaller mostly filled with farms and farm animals such as chickens. One day he noticed from the window of his office that a baby chick was unable to stand, and was crying really loud (as you all know how loud they could be). He could not help it and pick it up. He was badly bruised and could not stand. His mom abandoned him to his luck as she was already bussy with 8 other babies. My bf could not help it and pick it up and brought it to our house in the big city so we could maybe heal him.

I took the baby chick (we named him Pocho) to the vet next day and he told me that he was going to be ok, that nothing was broken and he had just a concussion. Little by little he started to heal and now he is a very healthy three month old young hen? or rooster?. We do not know what he is, and I would really appreciate if you could give me your feedback whether he or she is a he or a she. I think he is a roo and my bf thinks she is a hen.

Also we are wondering what type of breed is he. From research in this site I think he is a australorp mix, but maybe you could tell me if my guess is correct?

PS. He is the sweetest chicken ever. After breakfast he jumps at my lap and orders me to pet him by gently pecking my clothes. :)

THANK YOUUU
