I have read all about needing to boil soybeans before feeding them and that is not a problem. But what is cracked corn? can I just take the corn and crush it with a hammer?
Also do I need to supplement with anything else?
Because natural forage is so limited/non-existent in the winter, providing a good, solid feed program is even more important and, unfortunately, soy beans and corn will not provide the nutritional needs of your birds in and of itself. If anything they could make a nice supplement/treat to be fed in addition to a base diet of a good, nutritionally sound poultry ration (whether commercially packaged or home formulated).
