Looks like the goat curse struck again for the Cubbies

After they beat the Cardinals I thought for sure they would go on to the World Series

I did too. I'm a big Cardinal fan but now I'm rooting for KC.

Last year I thought the Cubs would be much better this year than most thought. I even considered putting 20 on them to win it all this year. I probably would have gotten 500-1 odds. Now I'm glad I didn't waste the 20.

I also thought regardless of what team came out of the central that they would destroy either LA or the Mets.

The Cubbies youth and inexperience really showed in this series.

Worked at the old Busch Stadium from 81 to 85. Got to see 2 World Series while getting paid double time.
Worked cleanup crew and it was in our contract to get double in playoffs and Series games.
Even met some players.
Some of the old football Cardinal players too. Should have stayed working there , would probably be running the cleanup crew there by now and about to retire in a few years....lol..
