I need a quiet duck

Hello everyone! I am looking to get ducks this spring. I have never owned ducks before or been around them much so I have little experience. My question is, what breed are quiet? I want khaki Campbell's because of there small size. Can anybody tell me if they are quiet???

Depends on what you consider quiet, my ducks (welsh harlequins which were created from the khaki campbell) can be kinda noisy but it sounds like they are laughing and only the females make that sound, male ducks make a quiet raspy noise.

There are also muscovys which are not true ducks and I believe they are quiet, but they are more like geese in temperament and have bald faces which some people don't like.

Hope this helps.:)

17+ pigeons, about 20 coturnix quail, 10 chickens and 2 angora rabbits

My Khaki's are almost silent until I get home from work and they are still locked up in the pen, then they let me know it's time for them to be let out. after they are in the yard I have to go look for them every so often just because I can't hear them... the females make some noise while foraging but other than that they are quiet. Oh and I've not had other breads before these Khaki's but mine do fly, so just keep that in mind (they are true Khaki's), my male can fly from one end of my 2 acres to the other without losing any altitude. Females are a little heavy at the moment though because they still have eggs in them. Very friendly though. But they will make noise if they see you or get spooked.

When outside don't be surprised if they follow you everywhere. They are very exploitative though, so just keep that in mind as well.

I don't mind a bit of quacking! I just don't want loud screams like my chickens make!

My chickens are very quiet compared to my ducks. I live in the suburbs and I'm on good terms with my neighbors and they say that my ducks don't bother them. I have 2 runners, welsh harlequin, white later and a cayuga. I find that it depends on the actual duck not breed as to how load they are. I did notice that they got really loud when they were "teenagers" and quieted back down once they hit 20ish weeks. Some KC can fly since they are lightweight. None of mine can. Also runners are lightweight but cannot fly at all and are good layers.

My phone thinks that it is smarter than I, please excuse the typos and nonsense jabber.

5 ducks, 3 chickens, 2 dogs and 1 cat all in suburbia.

I love their loud, obnoxious, laugh like quacks, I'm just not sure my neighbors do!

They talk to me about everything during the course of their day.
