Hello from NC

Hello BYCs

I started my flock this past April. My interest is in the eggs and the entertainment the birds provide. I look forward to all the knowledge I can gather from you fellow BYCs.

My flock is about 60 birds. Some ordered from an online hatchery, some where given/gifts but most bought from the local feed store. Some of the breeds include -- barred rocks, rr, silver lace wyandottes, polish, dorking,BYMs, ameraucana and a few others. I also have a small flock of guineafowl that share the coop.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hi welcome-byc.gif

Glad you could join the flock! What a lovely mixed flock you have there. I've not kept Guinea fowl myself but we do have a couple down at the farm where I keep the horse and they sure have a loud alarm call. Have you checked out the Guinea section of the forum? It's a great place for all your questions you have about them ~http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/45/guinea-fowl

Good luck with your flock in the future. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC frow.gif

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
