Ice is beautiful. I have a problem with an Indian blue named Raj (as in Maharaj). We've had him since yearling & his pen is right off our bedroom window. I suspect he's overly imprinted because he's now 3, got 2 yearling girlfriends but is attacking make humans including my 7 year old son. It's mild at the minute, he lurches into their backs when their crouching down...but my husband is over it & demanding he goes. He has done it to me twice but only half-hearted. I'm definitely the one he has a relationship with...your advice (can this aggression/defensiveness be stopped?)?

Thank you.

Fortunately for me I've never had to deal with aggression towards me. Does he only attack them when people are crouched?

Yep. I assume it's his interpretation of a challenge?
The male is old enough to breed and chances are the hens are not. If it's only when they are crouched it's more of a breeding behavior. When hens are ready to breed they tend to squat down. Your male might be thinking they are hens wanting to be bred. Once there are hens that can breed chances are he won't be trying to breed humans. When peacocks fight they fly up in the air and spur at each other.

OH!!! You're a genius!! That's exactly what he's doing. Poor boys...all of them that is haha. You're peas are lucky to have you, imagine all the abandoned & rehomed ones who don't realise this! Made my year

Hopefully you won't have to get rid of your peacock now that you know it's not aggressive behavior. Thank you for the complement!
