Deworming Chickens

Thread Starter

I am in Deep East Texas and just bought 7 2 year old hens from another private owner.  I would appreciate some advice on when I need to deworm and what water additives I should use if any.  Big thanks for this forum, good info everywhere!

Valbazen is an excellent all around dewormer that will get most worms. I have heard it is available in a smaller sized bottle now.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
