My hen hatched chicks and now the chicks are grown, the other hens I have won't accept her back. Is there anything I can do to get them to accept her back???

Congrats on the chicks!

So, it sounds like you moved your broody away from the flock for hatching and then kept her and the chicks apart after as well?  How long, total, were they separated?  How long has it been since you put her back?

Once you separate them like this you have to go back through the integration process just as you would with any new bird coming into the flock.  She has lost her place in the pecking order and the flock has re-established everything in her absence -- it will take time for her to re-integrate and she may or may not regain her previously held position in the group.

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand basket?

When she started sitting, she stayed in the same coop, so the hens were around her. Then when we knew she was close to hatching them, we built a nursery attached to the coop, so the hens were kind of around her, just not inside with them. The mama and hens have been in the nursery since june, so almost 5 months. We've been trying to let her be in there with the hens for a bit, but she just paces and wants out. At the beginning the other hens would attack her but now they don't really bother her, they ignore her. She's still in there with the babies, because we're scared to leave her in the coop with the hens, that they may hurt her with out us standing there to stop it. How can I start the integration system, just leave her in there with the hens?

Same thing happened with ours but they do settle down after a bit. One of ours was even jumping on her and pecking at her but after about a week of supervised integration everyone was happy she knew her place and it stopped.
