Is this a rooster?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I agree with the other members; Tiffany is a cockerel. Sorry.( Most roosters start crowing from 5-6 months, but some of them can take quite a bit longer; especially if there are no other roosters around. I expect Tiffany will start crowing soon. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up. It's so darn hard to tell. We were thinking maybe she was just head hen because she doesn't have the tail feathers of the roo.. She's a coronation Sussex

you could also find out, if you broke a few eggs open to see if they have been fertilized, If yes, double proof it's a rooster.

I'm new to this... What does a fertilized egg look like?

This is an excerpt from an article in the Learning Center:

"
Is it Fertile or Infertile?

To check the fertility, simply break an egg in a bowl.
Find the white spot on the yolk. If you do not, use a spoon to gently flip the yolk over until you find it.
Bulls eye look is fertile."
