Slugs in the coop

I'm not too worried about this, but I have noticed slugs in the open part of my coop at night and they get under the watered in the coop. Yuck! I don't know if the birds know they are there.

Slugs, snails, crickets, grasshoppers and certain beetle species are a vast reservoir for both infection and reinfection of chickens with internal parasites.

It is unimportant what the slugs etc bring to the party, what is important however is keeping out uninvited house guests, especially those that may harm your birds.

Keep your chickens safe from predators, buy and wear fur.
