I have one New Hampshire Red pullet and one Buckeye pullet I'd be willing to send off to a good home. Both are 20 weeks old, beautifully feathered and ready to lay. (They may be laying already--I'm getting some eggs now from this flock, but I'm not sure which specific birds are laying already.) They've been raised in a batch with 8 other chicks. They're well socialized and very friendly. They've been raised with free reign over my back yard and access to the worms from the compost bin. All the chicks in my flock were sourced from Meyer hatchery in Ohio. They've been hearty and healthy from day one. Ten birds is just a few more than I need, and I have two each of the New Hampshires and Buckeyes. So I'm willing to part with two. Local pickup only. Please message me if interested.
(The egg on top is from a hen in this flock; the one on bottom is just a fake egg to train them to lay in the nesting boxes. They were laying eggs under the hedges, but now they are good about only laying in the nesting boxes.)
