Rabbit injured Rooster need advice ASAP

My rooster got in a fight with an Angora rabbit, and got injured. Its wattle is black and swollen, I am fearing the dead blood-vessels wil cause an infextion, dont want my rooster to die. The rabbit is seperated from the chickens for good! What should I do about this scenario?

I think he will survive his wounds. If you have some betadine, you could coat his wounds with it. Neosporin ointment would help, but probably will attract dirt. Wattle injuries can be painful, but not fatal. Just make sure that he is eating and drinking well. If you have other roosters, watch to see that he isn't picked on.
