Low-quality pic...hope someone can still help

This is a sentimental pic of my grandfather's chickens. I say sentimental because he's gone now and I loved his chickens. I am actually in the pic with him as well as my two sisters however I cut all of us out so you all would be able to see the chickens better. Anyway, it would be good to know at least one of the breeds in the pic so that I can add it to my flock and raise it in his memory and honor. Hope someone can help, thanks!

The black ones kinda look like like Black Australorps to me, one is also kinda Rhode Island Red shaped, can't tell on the brownish ones, maybe a mix? Hope this helps,:) its hard to see the chickens in the picture though

Unfortunately, the picture is too small and pixelated to accurate decipher the breed...sorry!

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Agreed. The (black I think) birds may be Black Australorps or a similar breed, but we just can't tell from the photo.

Owner of about 20 chickens and 12 exhibition rabbits

Always happy to answer questions! You can ask me about diseases, raising chicks, feeding, and breeds!

Thank you all for trying. Yes, that very well could be an australorp. I'm also thinking that the rooster in the pic is a welsummer. Any thoughts?
