Looks like you have the eaves blocked off, I would unblock them all and cover the openings from the outside with hardware cloth,These are the "windows"
two bends to attach it to the wall, bottoms of rafters and back of fascia.
Take a look at My Coop page to see how I did mine with a very similar eave structure.
Agrees....get in there with a flat shovel and stir things up to see if you have a moisture problem.
Pine shavings are less likely to pack when damp....dry leaves don't absorb much.
