Since my little OEGB, Amoeba, can't seem to get along with any chicken I own and since she is tiny and super friendly, I've decided to make her a house hen. She lives in a large dog cage with shredded newspaper covering the bottom and her food (scratch, meal worms, various fruits and veggies, bread) is hidden in it. I ordered her some diapers from Louise's Country Closet in this pattern:
The pattern matches her temperament perfectly.

After several minutes she is comfortable enough to start preening.
I leave it on her for 10-20 minutes each day till she is totally used to it (she still tips over an staggers around for the first couple of minutes and then acts like it's not even there after awhile).
