Nope, not really. :) There's some neck-pulling occasionally, but it doesn't look rough and nobody gets left out moving around and such, no lost feathers or balds spots or other signs of distress in them.
This. I ended up with the ugly odds of 5 drakes and 2 hens, so I rehomed the hens and the person who took them asked if she could take a drake with them since she had 1 female, and since it would be the one drake for the 3 hens at her place I thought it was a good idea. I thought I would be sad about not having any duck eggs or girls but I find myself not missing it much, I get more then plenty from my chickens.
