This is my first time hatching. Above is chick number one. I just cannot tell if it is a pullet or a roo.

I'm kind of leaning toward them both being males, but I'm still developing my eye for sexing pure bred barred chicks. We'll see what others say, and then post again in say 5ish weeks so we can see how things turned out?
too early for chicks to have life-altering or ending decisions made. Let them be just chicks for awhile.
I've had people guess on mine many times but at that age unless there is a colour linked way to sex them that's all they are, guesses 
. So far the guesses have been right about 50% of the time ;-) till they get to about 8-10 weeks and then the accuracy improves

The black wash on thier shanks indicate pullet I think that you need some more time.
