The first photo of rooster #1 is an excellent photo, and makes him look fabulous. However, the second photo of rooster #1 is less complimentary. Both photos of rooster #2 make him look nice. The lighting doesn't provide the same contrast and photographic quality as the first picture of rooster #1, but overall he looks to have better conformation. Plus, he has an exceptional temperament, which for me goes a long way. I've stopped keeping cockerels that don't have good behavior towards me or their hens. Peaceful behavior towards the other males is also a huge plus, but not an absolute requirement. I'd use rooster #2 as the primary, but like the idea of keeping rooster #1 as a backup. He's a nice rooster, and he may be needed if the white earlobe from rooster #2 can't be bred out.
