Hello everyone!
I am very new to hatching chicks! I'm a First Grade teacher and am using an incubator. We just set our eggs this morning and I am looking forward to this journey with my class! After they hatch, I am bringing them home to live a happy life and hopefully lay lots of fresh eggs for me and my family! I've already looked at tons of helpful information here...what a great site!

I am hatching quail eggs along with you! Sounds really fun. Have yourself ready for a rooster though. My button quail cockerel crows very loudly, and he is the size of a budgie too. He usally does his "crowing sessions" around 3AM-5/6AM. I hear them a lot in my dreams, luckily I am a deep sleeper.
What breed of chicken are you hatching/what color of the eggs? I am so glad you have decided to start and joined BYC. There is much info in the learning center and incubating and hatching eggs section of the forum. Good luck on the hatch!
