Hi all,
I have candled eggs a few times and then googled egg candling to get n idea of how far along my embryo is. I have successfully gained 3 chicks...that is out of 13 that my broody gathered over time. I have learned much and am still sad I lost so many. I know 5 were killed by my other chickens, some just didn't develop. Anyhoo the question is this. When I look at my egg, I only see the chick filling up one side of the egg. The air sac looks good as well as chick moving plenty and good blood vessels but I think this is day 17 and when I candled the chick is only filling one side of the egg. Is is stuck to the shell? will it hatch ok if it is? I have been turning 3 times a day. Also note that from day 7 this egg has been under heat lamp monitoring temp with thermometer because broody quit setting and it is cold in Idaho these days. It looks like it is developing mostly well. I have kept temp between 95-100 but don't have an incubator yet so I cannot control humidity. I misted it with a spray bottle a few times. Any information is greatly appreciated! It is my last fertilized egg and I would love to see it hatch successfully. Thanks in advance.

Ive had to turn this one because broody quit and i didnt want it to freeze. So its been under heat lamp.
