Buckeye mix?

Possibly dad is a rosecomb RIR....would have to see him.

Copper is rosecombed, likely a roo with that much red at 5 weeks, definitely not Buckeye, a d not a full RIR as too light in color.

Dad , Beau, is no longer with me, my other roo bullied him ,which pecking order, I realize can be awful and graphic. However pepper did it in such a smooth way that I only found out how miserable beau really was 2 days before he passed :(
Beau was my first ever chicken

And pepper let him be ,hang with the girls...he wouldn't let him drink or eat .
Thank you very much. I'm so happy I got copper out of my 7 chicks I hatched,he is the only one who looks like beau :)
He is my love bug :) wish he was a miss copper though

Glad to hear you have found a legacy.

If Copper turns out as fine as his daddy Beau, and you like him better, why not get rid of the more aggressive roo and keep Copper as your main man.

That is my plan ,pepper is just rough on my hens and he eats before them ,doesn't really act protective, more possessive, lol I've known a couple guys like him!!
