Rooster with yolk on his chest

My rooster has gotten egg on his chest from somewhere a couple times now.  Noone is laying. My year old hens stopped this summer and my pullets haven't started yet

If you are sure it is yolk, Somebody is laying. Sounds like he is eating eggs.

I thought of that too, but it's smeared all over his chest about the height the hen would be when mounted.  Just hoping he isn't hurting anyone

My rooster will sometimes get in a nest box and form a nice nest shape for the hens. All the while I can hear him making all kinds of noises and from outside the pen sounds like hes kinda rolling around in the nest. If theres an egg in the nest and thats going on I can see how it could get broken and of course it would be on him.
