LOL..anyone ever see this? Set three traps. Had the baby chicks in a secure place. Of course I knew that the mice would still find the food, and be able to get to it, but I usually catch a mouse when I set a few traps out with cheese.
This baby got stuck!

"Excuse me miss, but can you open the lid an let me out please?"

lol, i use peanut butter for mice

I candled my ayam cemani eggs.....all seven are developing!
Good news!!!

Just candled my eggs, all are developing at a good rate. The one I was concerned about that was put in on the 9th gave us a bit of a scare tonight. We couldn't see anything moving in the egg but we waited a min and there he was! He was just playing in the center of the egg! That one's gonna be a handful, lol.

lol must be a roo right?

Chicken in paradise!

amazing with not much rain, and irrigation use. How is water collected?

Been down that same road, friend, only with my own father. He stayed with us after Mom died for a year and a half, during which time we watched him slowly slipping away. When he drew his final breath in our living room, with family all around him, the transition from this world to the next was about as peaceful as it could be. We were, naturally, sad that he was gone, but comforted by the knowledge that he was in a far better place than the one he'd just left, and whatever pain he'd been in was gone forever. May the same serenity and peacefulness be with you and your family now and in the times to come, my friend.

I lost my aunt who was like a mother to me, just a year ago, I was with her every day the final months and four days straight at the end, held her hand so many days and slept with my head leaning on her pillow along side her for many naps and nights. I miss her terrible, but it is an amazing blessing we can use our thoughts and its like their laughter and life is right there with us, memories are amazing.

I thank you both! It is never easy to see your love one hurts.
I know my Father in law for almost 30 years now, from a tall ,strong, extremely sportive and extremely intelligent man ( was a Mechanical Engineer that was part of the team that had pland the "merkava" thank
One of the best tanks touday! ) that spoke 7 languages that have helped us allot in the beginning he became wreck in a very short period. It is a waking call to ouer fragility.

I pray for comfort you and your family Benny, I am so sorry, may God help you to deal with this life and death struggle, I pray for no suffering and I am thankful in the assurance that even death cannot separate him from God.

Well, it' sback to the drawing board for us. - my 12 year old and 2 year old decided they wanted to "see" the incubator and dropped it, breaking all the eggs while I was out with the baby chickens in their new pen.... (they still are in the house, but I took them out there for a few minutes to explore.)

However, I was able to get the humidity to 26% over night, and keep the temp stable at 99.6.... with out the eggs in it. So... maybe this will work out better. It was not fun cleaning egg yolk off my bathroom floor. :/
Oh I am so sorry!!! ughhhhh I pray they have learned a lesson to let it be. sorry

Also got a big problem in my goat coop. Guess everyone has had enough of this wet ground.

I wish I could garden with all them seeds!!!!
Morning all!

We let our two 9 week old babies out to free range with the big girls for the first time last night. The big girls ignored them for the most part, but they are SO spooky and crazy that they would flip out if anything moved near them. Took a bit, but my daughter finally caught them so we could put them back up. I think they are almost ready to join the flock. I was trying to hold out hope that the little Lavender Orpington is a hen, but I don't think I can remain in denial. I have known since 3 weeks old that the Olive Egger is a rooster (unfortunately, as I really wanted the olive eggs!); but was holding out hope on the Lavender...oh well! Here they are checking out the yard.

Smokey & Pokey
