How'd that work out for you?
They developed perfectly. I'm running between 40-55% humidity for my silkies. The 2 eggs that stayed viable are developing perfectly, I candled them last night at day 14. Almost completely filled up in the egg, and constant movement, it was really neat to see them bouncing around in there wiggling.

Good morning, Abi

It's strange, but with my 1st hatch I never saw veins or movement the whole time, and had a decent hatch rate. This last time, I saw plenty of both, but the hatch rate was below 50%
my first batch, I never saw movement, or veins, I also didn't have a good candler. I bought the one they recommended on here, for candling and it made all the difference for seeing through the egg properly compared to a regular flash light.

My cochin's eggs were so thick, too, that I never was able to see much as they developed. Just the egg got all thick and dark.

These ones are doing it too - but I can see more of what's going on/

I have had my first taste of coffee this morning so I am on my way to being a person.
I subscribed to this thread in hopes of learning and I also needed to watch those that are still hatching until March when my incubator starts to hum.
I am still missing the "Oz" thread.
